Unaffiliated (Independent) Voters: What to Expect

If you are registered as Unaffiliated, North Carolina law requires you to choose one party ballot when voting in a primary election. This choice is made at check-in, before you receive your ballot.
Your ballot selection determines which candidates you will see. Candidates do not appear on every ballot.
